Skyline looks to break Guinness World Record and wants your help

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Skyline is looking to break a Guinness World Record, and you can be a part of it.

As Skyline celebrates its 75th birthday, the Cincinnati icon is inviting fans to set the record for most photos of hot dogs uploaded to Instagram in 1 hour.

The record-breaking attempt will be at Fountain Square on Oct. 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

To get involved and help set the Guinness World Record title for the most Cheese Coneys uploaded to Instagram, Skyline Chili fans need to complete following steps on Instagram:

  • Ensure Instagram profile is set to public
  • Post Cheese Coney photos on October 9, 2024, between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM ET.
  • Upload photos including the hashtag #SkylineChiliWorldRecord during the designated time
  • Photos must be uploaded to Instagram feeds (Stories do not qualify) and should clearly show the hot dog to be easily identified by judges
  • Fans do not need to upload their photos from Fountain Square to participate, but Skyline Cheese Coney photos do need to be uploaded during the designated hour-long time frame

As a thank you for participating in the record-breaking attempt, the first 250 people to share a qualifying Cheese Coney picture on their Instagram feeds will receive a $15 Skyline gift card, the company says. Additionally, all participants will be entered for a chance to win 500 FREE Cheese Coneys, awarded via a $1,500 gift card.
