Evansville-based Atlas World Group announced Thursday that it has extended its contract with Chairman and CEO Jack Griffin. Atlas said its board of directors is confidence that, under Griffin’s leadership, the company will “continue to thrive into 2025 and beyond.”

Griffin was named CEO of the transportation, moving, and storage services company in 2016 and oversees its 10 subsidiaries.

In a news release, the board described him as “a market leader, a thought leader, and a quality leader who has driven Atlas to the forefront of the industry during his tenure.” The board also noted that the company’s management team is the strongest it has ever had.

The company did not disclose specific details of the contract extension. Griffin called his role a “great privilege.”

“While the past four years have not been without their challenges, I am proud to report that Atlas remains fiscally and operationally strong,” he said. “I am grateful to the Board for their continued trust and support and am confident that Atlas will carry our steady momentum forward for years to come.”

Atlas World Group is Indiana’s 20th largest private company, with more than $904 million in revenue in 2023, according to IBJ research. The company employs 570 people, including 272 in Indiana.
