Cowboys vs. Giants Thursday Night Football: Live updates, score, highlights, how to watch Dallas vs. New York

Cowboys vs. Giants has become a staple of the early-season prime-time landscape of the NFL, and this year the ancient NFC East rivals play their first matchup on Thursday Night Football to open up Week 4. Both teams enter with 1-2 records, with their lone win coming over the Cleveland Browns.

Dallas enters the matchup reeling on its defensive front seven, allowing a league-worst 185.7 rushing yards per game and getting steamrolled on the ground by the Saints and Ravens over the past two weeks. The Cowboys have allowed 464 rushing yards in the past two defeats — only two other teams have given up that many rushing yards in three games.

The Giants will likely try to exploit that, even though they’re in the middle of the pack in rushing offense. Devin Singletary has gotten going with a couple of rushing touchdowns over the past two weeks and Daniel Jones is 21st among qualified quarterbacks in passer rating.

  • Micah Parsons out of the game

    Cowboys EDGE Micah Parsons is out of the game after getting hurt on a five-yard pass to Wan’Dale Robinson. It’s not clear how exactly he got hurt, whether on a block or colliding with a teammate on a tackle.

    Parsons is being checked in the sideline medical tent.

  • Daniel Jones interception negated by penalty

    Daniel Jones throws it deep to Darius Slayton on a free play with the Cowboys drawing a penalty.

    Trevon Diggs intercepts the pass, but it’s wiped out by an offsides call on Carl Lawson. 3rd-and-14 becomes 3rd-and-9.

    Dak Prescott is 9-of-10 for 82 yards passing and a touchdown.

  • CeeDee Lamb matches Week 3’s catch total

    CeeDee Lamb already has four catches for 30 yards, matching the four receptions he got last week. He also has a 10-yard run, lining up at running back.

    Last week, Lamb had four catches for 67 yards and got into a sideline spat with Dak Prescott, unhappy with how he was being utilized.

  • Wrong facemask call

    Replay shows that the officials got the facemask penalty on Daniel Bellinger wrong. Even worse, DeMarvion Overshown grabbed Bellinger’s facemask and missed it.

    A facemask penalty on Daniel Bellinger gave the Giants a 2nd-and-18 from the Dallas 48-yard line.

    Daniel Jones completes two consecutive passes to Wan’Dale Robinson for a combined 14 yards, not enough for the first down.

He hit a 66-yard field goal in preseason at Las Vegas, and it would have been good from 72 yards according to the tracker. In Week 1 he was going to try a 66-yard field goal but there was a delay-of-game penalty. Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy contemplated trying a 71-yarder before being talked out of it.
