CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The City of Cheyenne Office of Youth Alternatives recently received a donation from Planet Fitness that will be put toward the Friends of Youth Alternatives Endowment.

Planet Fitness generated $2,028.68 through its annual “Mileage for Mental Health Awareness Month,” which is held in the month of March each year. Planet Fitness has been located in Cheyenne for the past seven years and provides a safe and judgment-free environment that promotes physical and mental health development for all walks of life, which closely aligns with the mission of the Office of Youth Alternatives.

“We’re grateful to Planet Fitness for their support for our services,” said Jay Sullivan, director for the Office of Youth Alternatives, in a news release. “Community support makes our work for Cheyenne’s youth go even further.”

The endowment was established to ensure that the services provided by the Office of Youth Alternatives are sustainable for future generations.
