Fitness from Comfort of Couch With Virtual Reality
MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Virtual reality sets offer immersive, calorie-burning exercise from the comfort of home. Donning the headsets transports users to new worlds for whole-body workouts.
Among the best virtual reality fitness apps for the Quest 3 headset are The Thrill of the Fight and FitXR.
FitXR combines high-intensity interval training and dance. Users can choose sculpting or combat exercises, with multi-player voice chat and a smartphone app to track progress.
The Thrill of the Fight provides an intense boxing workout with cardio-driven sparring against opponents, along with speed bag and heavy bag drills.
Hydration is key for these sweat-inducing virtual reality exercises.
Apple in Talks for Exclusive FIFA Rights
Streaming services keep expanding, with YouTube TV, Sling TV and Hulu Live among the options offering some sports channels. Now Apple is in talks to exclusively carry FIFA’s revamped Club World Cup starting in 2025, according to reports.
The tournament would feature 32 clubs from each of FIFA’s six confederations. The first edition is slated for the U.S. next summer.
Sponsors have balked at FIFA’s hefty price tag, but Apple could pay around $1 billion for worldwide rights. The tech giant previously secured Major League Soccer broadcast rights for $2.5 billion.
Apple sees sports streaming as a way to attract new subscribers to its Apple TV+ service. A deal would mark the first time FIFA awarded global rights to a single entity.
