Our Editors Found the Best Gifts at Cracker Barrel

You’ve heard a lot over the years about the warm glow of the golden arches beckoning travelers off the road and into the sweet embrace of their hot french fries. But, I’m here to say that McDonalds is not the ultimate road trip stop. It’s Cracker Barrel! From the iconic (and bonafide) antique decor to their ever-changing-but-always-delicious menu, it’s hard not to be a fan. The best part about visiting a Cracker Barrel, though, has nothing to do with the food or decor (which, they’ve updated recently!). It’s the gift shop. And, it’s time I come clean: Cracker Barrel is secretly my go-to spot for holiday gifting.

Between offering a plethora of stocking stuffers for all ages to always having a perfectly steal-able gift for my family’s White Elephant gift exchange, Cracker Barrel has shown me time and again that its gift shop has everything you need and will serve it up with a plate of fresh cornbread. But, did you know that you don’t actually need to embark on a road trip to visit? They have an online gift shop! While Cracker Barrel’s online shop doesn’t carry exact one-to-ones of the gifts in store, most of their delightfully quirky finds are there! Below, we’re going to walk you through the best finds at your local Cracker Barrel and share the best way to shop Cracker Barrel’s online gift shop.

These Are The Best Things To Buy At Cracker Barrel

Cracker Barrel’s gift shop is known for its iconic, vintage-inspired finds that hit on the same classic Americana that made the restaurant a household name in the first place. (Think real salt water taffy, an oversized game of checkers, or a classic corncob-shaped cast iron pan.) The key to picking the best gifts at your local Cracker Barrel is to find the pieces that touch on that inherent nostalgia and blend the useful and unique with ease. While you can certainly splash out on a pair of rocking chairs or even a stand mixer, I have found that the best gifts at Cracker Barrel are generally under $35. At that price point, you’ll find quirky toys that make great gifts for youngsters and the best-sellers from American heritage brands that have made good, old fashioned quality the key to their success. Below, I’ve rounded up my favorite finds and go-to’s for gifting.

How Do You Shop Cracker Barrel’s Gift Shop Online?

Similar to the brick-and-mortar store, Cracker Barrel’s online gift shop holds a world of wonders. Beyond the vintage candies and kid toys, though, you’ll find on-trend fashion and nostalgic mix of electronics, home decor, and games that makes shopping here like a quick-hit of serotonin. From studded leather booties (under $25!) to an Aretha Franklin vinyl, there is definitely something for every person on your shopping list. And, for those who truly don’t like change, you can still pick up an old classic like the original Necco wafer roll on your way to the digital check out line. But, there are a few things you should know before loading up your shopping cart.

Shipping & Returns

Cracker Barrel offers free shipping via UPS for orders over $100 to addresses in the contiguous 48 states, so long as those orders do not include their fully assembled rockers or gift cards. For a detailed breakdown on shipping costs on orders lower than $100, check out their FAQ which offers a chart based on delivery times and location. It’s worth noting that their warehouse is closed on Saturday and Sunday, so any orders placed over the weekend will not ship until Monday. Additionally, Cracker Barrel offers returns within 60 days as long as you have the receipt. They’ll even cover the shipping if the return is due to their error. Each package is shipped with the proper return instructions.

Stock Variety

Cracker Barrel’s online gift shop does not carry everything that is sold in stores. While their categories cover the same ground, not everything in store is represented online. The best rule of thumb for shopping at Cracker Barrel, either online or in person, is to take the Home Goods approach: Buy what you like when you see it the first time! Below, I’ve gathered up some of the best finds that combine the old classics and the fresh, new pieces that will help you see their gift shop in a new light.

Does Cracker Barrel’s Online Gift Shop Accept Gift Cards?

Unfortunately, Cracker Barrel’s online gift shop does not accept Cracker Barrel gift cards at this time. While gift cards can be used on the website or app to pay for food, they cannot be used to purchase gifts through their shop. They can, however, be used to purchase gifts from the brick and mortar restaurants. The online gift shop accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa, PayPal, and Venmo.
