For Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes and their girls ‘come first’

If there was an award for being the cutest couple in Hollywood, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes would lead that list. Incredibly private about their lives, the family they have built and yet being supportive of one another at all times, Ryan and Eva are a match made in heaven. 

Recently when asked who his north star is or a motto he swears by for life, The Fall Guy actor Ryan Gosling spelled out the name of his partner. He revealed he doesn’t really have a motto in life but always thinks of whether the issue would matter while he was on his deathbed. He explained, “It puts things into perspective. It always comes back to family first. I don’t think I’ll regret anything professionally, but I do think when it comes to Eva and the girls, they come first.”

He continued, “I don’t know, it’s probably not a good thing that I go deathbed, but it’s helpful for me. Anytime I’m struggling, I just think about whether it’s going to matter to me then because, yeah, this whole thing can be distorting.”

When the interviewer prodded who Ryan’s heroes are, he again mentioned Eva and for a change one more person – his uncle Bill. 

Ryan said, “When I was in school, [Uncle Bill] said, ‘I’m gonna put all your achievements in a scrapbook.’ I didn’t want the scrapbook to stay empty. Uncle Bill believed in me at a time when I didn’t really believe in myself.”

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have been together since 2011. The two keep it private. They are parents to two daughters. Over the past few months since Ryan was in the news for playing Ken in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, Eva has openly defended him. She also spoke highly of his Saturday Night Live Cuban wife sketch.
