DC Superhero And TV Star Endorses Trump, Concedes Possible ‘Career Suicide’

Zachary Levi, the star of two “Shazam!” superhero movies and TV’s spy comedy “Chuck,” endorsed Donald Trump for president in a move he called potential “career suicide.” (Watch the video below.)

The actor said “in a perfect world… perhaps I would have voted for Bobby,” referring to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s dropped independent presidential bid. But Levi is now casting his lot with the Republican nominee, he told Trump’s Reclaim America Tour audience in Dearborn, Michigan, on Saturday.

Before interviewing “Team Trump” members RFK Jr. and ex-Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, Levi made his own pitch for the former president.

“We’re here to make sure that we are going to take back this country,” Levi said. “We are going to make it great again. We are going to make it healthy again. And so, I stand with Bobby, and I stand with Tulsi, and I stand with everyone else who is standing with President Trump.”

“He’s gonna get us there because he’s gonna have the backing and the support and the wisdom and the knowledge and the fight that exists in Robert Kennedy Jr. and former Representative Tulsi Gabbard,” the actor continued.

As his talk with Gabbard and Kennedy concluded, Levi said he got a positive response from revealing his support for the Republican nominee. “When I came out and I said I was endorsing President Trump through my endorsement of Tulsi and Bobbi. … Within my industry, as you can probably imagine, Hollywood is a very, very liberal town and this very well could constitute career suicide, so I’m glad I did it with you guys,” he said.

Levi said he grew up in a conservative Christian household and was taught healthy distrust for government. He said supporters of Democratic nominee Kamala Harris are not evil, but are being lied to.

Levi joins the likes of Dennis Quaid, Amber Rose and Joe Germanotta ― Lady Gaga’s restaurateur father ― among celebrities publicly backing the coup-fomenting Trump, who was convicted on 34 felony counts in his hush money trial.
