Mark your calendar! Vintage vehicles, races and family campouts top our list of fun things to do in Melbourne, Cocoa Beach, Titusville this weekend.

Due to potential changes and cancellations, we encourage you to check with presenting organizations about the status of their events.  

1. ‘Hot Wheels 4 Cool Cats’ in Melbourne

The Central Florida Animal Reserve (CFAR) will host a fundraiser at the American Muscle Car Museum, 3500 Sarno Road, Melbourne, on Saturday, April 27 from 5 to 9 p.m. The event will include admission to the museum, complimentary drink tickets and a raffle ticket, an exhibition of an assortment of muscle cars that include more than 50 Indianapolis 500 Pace Cars & Trucks, Ford Shelby, Mustangs, Corvettes, and more. There will also be food, drinks, a live auction and entertainment. Tickets are $125 per person or $225 per couple, or VIP Tickets are $175, including an inclusive guided tour. Visit cflar.org.

2. USA Beach Running Championship in Cocoa Beach

The 10K and 10-mile sunrise race will be on the beach at Shepard Park, 200 East Cocoa Beach Causeway, on Sunday, April 28, starting at 6:33 a.m. The event is on hard packed sand during low tide, and open to all runners and walkers. Shoes are optional. There will be a post-race awards party on the beach with live music, champagne, mimosas and more. All finishers will receive a sea creature-themed medal. 3. ‘Celebration of Dance’ at the King Center

The Space Coast Ballet Company performs a showcase featuring dance styles from hip-hop to ballroom at the King Center, 3865 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne, on Sunday, April 28 at 7 p.m. Visit kingcenter.com or call 321-242-2219. 

4. Live theater around Brevard

  • ‘8 Tracks: A ‘70s Revue’: Put on your leisure suits, halter tops, and platform shoes and get ready to boogie down memory lane at the Henegar Center, 625 E. New Haven Ave., Melbourne, through April 27. With its propulsive rhythms and dazzling harmonies, 8-Track is a fast-paced musical romp through one of the most impassioned decades of the 20th century.   • ‘Cabaret’: The musical is on stage at Titusville Playhouse, 301 Julia Street, through May 12. Daring, provocative and exuberantly entertaining, ‘Cabaret’ follows nightclub singer Sally Bowles in the dark and heady life of Bohemian Berlin as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich.   • ‘The Sunshine Boys’: The play is on stage at Melbourne Civic Theatre, 817 E. Strawbridge Ave., through April 28. Steven Wolf and Terrence Girard star in Neil Simon’s comedy about the reunion of a former vaudeville team who are no longer speaking. Tickets are $35. Call 321-723-6935 or visit mymct.org

5. Family overnight campout in Cocoa

The annual family camping overnight will be at F. Burton Smith Regional Park, 7575 W. King Street, Cocoa, starting at 3 p.m. Friday, April 26. Bring a tent, bedding, flashlights, foldable chairs and bug spray. Activities will include crafts, outdoor games, a campfire and more. Dinner, s’mores and a light breakfast on Saturday morning are included. The cost is $15 for adults, $10 for kids ages 2 to 17, or free for children under 2. Drugs, alcohol and pets are not allowed. 6. Antique Motorcycle Invitational at Green Gables

Green Gables, 1501 S. Harbor City Blvd., Melbourne, hosts its annual Antique Motorcycle Invitational on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be food, drinks, music and a 50/50 raffle. Proceeds will benefit Green Gables. Admission is free, and tours of the historic home will be available for $10. Visit greengables.org.

7. ‘Healthy Body Healthy Mind’ 3K in Melbourne

Eastern Florida State College will host its inaugural Healthy Body Healthy Mind 3K on Saturday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Student Union Bldg. 16 on the Melbourne campus, 3865 N. Wickham Road. Proceeds from the event will benefit EFSCares, a free, confidential student assistance program available to all full and part-time enrolled students. The race is free to current EFSC students, $20 for EFSC faculty and staff, $30 for the general public, and $35 on race day. Call 321-751-8890 or visit runsignup.com.
