Attending the 2024 Dogwood Festival? Check out the schedule for Friday through Sunday

The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival is marking its 42nd year of family-friendly fun, foodie finds and entertainment in this free community event.

Looking to venture downtown this weekend? Plan accordingly and take a look at the schedule of events.

FRIDAY

Festival hours: 5 to 9 p.m.

Location: Festival Park and Festival Park Plaza area

On Friday, festivalgoers can enter the park at 5 p.m. and witness the opening ceremony at 6 p.m.

Food vendors and sponsors: Both will be available at Festival Park Plaza from 5 to 9 p.m.

Midway: The midway, on the corner of Mason Street and Ray Avenue in the Masonic Lodge parking lot, is open from 5 to 9 p.m. 

The 82nd Airborne Division All-American Rock Band: This Fort Liberty band will be performing at Festival Park from 6 to 9 p.m.

Rock 103, Kelvin “the Greek” Culbreth: This Fayetteville personality is broadcasting the event live at Festival Park from 3 to 7 p.m.

SATURDAY

Festival hours: noon to 9 p.m.

Location: Festival Park, Festival Park Plaza, and downtown Fayetteville

Downtown Street Fair: Vendors and food trucks are available from noon to 9 p.m. Carnival rides, pure contact knocker balls and a sensory friendly play area are also featured in this year’s street fair.

Midway: The midway, on the corner of Mason Street and Ray Avenue in the Masonic Lodge parking lot, is open from noon to 9 p.m. 

Air Born Aerials: Known for their acrobatic performances, these entertainers will showcase their talents in the Festival Park area from 1 to 5 p.m.

Performance Area: From noon to 6 p.m. in the 300 Block of Hay Street, the following acts will perform: Fatal Attraction Dance Team at noon; Elevo Dynamics at 12:30 p.m.; Yvette’s Dance Academy at 1 p.m.; Aloha Ka’Naka O Hula Halua at 1:45 p.m.; Canton Of Attilium in the SCA at 2:30 p.m.; Shadows of the Fire at 3:15 p.m.; Aloha Ka’Naka O Hula Halua at 4 p.m.; Martial Art Demo Team at 4:45 p.m.; and Shadows of Fire at 5:15 p.m.

Saturday Concert: Four different musical artists will be performing Saturday, and these are their showtimes: Two Dimensional from noon to 2 p.m.; R&B DJ from 2 to 4 p.m.; Latin DJ from 4 to 7 p.m.; and Nicholas Vernon, a singer-songwriter from Zebulon from 7 to 9 p.m.

SUNDAY

Festival hours: noon to 9 p.m.

Location: Festival Park, Festival Park Plaza, and downtown Fayetteville

Car, Motorcycle, and Truck Show: Witness unique vehicles cruise down the 400 Block of Hay Street from noon to 4 p.m. presented by the Stewardship Car Club.

Midway: The midway, on the corner of Mason Street and Ray Avenue in the Masonic Lodge parking lot, is open from noon to 6 p.m. 

Downtown Street Fair: More than 100 vendors are available from noon to 9 p.m. in downtown Fayetteville and Festival Park Plaza. Food trucks and carnival rides will also be available at the fair.

Performance area: From noon to 6 p.m. in the 300 Block of Hay Street, the following acts will perform: Shimmy Mob at noon; Aloha Ka’Naka O Hula Halua at 12:45 p.m.; Caton of Attilium in the SCA at 1:30 p.m.; Shadows of the Fire at 2:15 p.m.; Aloha Ka’Naka O Hula Halua at 3 p.m.; Heartsong Tribal at 3:45 p.m.; B Dopp at 4:30 p.m.; and Shadows of the Fire at 5:15 p.m.

Sunday concert: There will be a DJ at Festival Park from noon to 6 p.m.

Festival Rules: Please ensure to follow all festival rules, including no soliciting, no weapons, no canopies, no coolers or outside containers, no bicycles, skateboards, or rollerblades, no pets (except for service animals, which are permitted) and no drones without prior approval.
