Boston Celtics big man Neemias Queta is ready for more minutes

Backup Boston Celtics big man Neemias Queta is ready for more minutes with the team this season. When he got to the Celtics, it was not at all certain that the raw 7-foot center was going to be able to carve out a role with the team. But the Portuguese big man took advantage of each and every opportunity he got with Boston and with the Maine Celtics, and managed to carve out a niche against certain matchups with the Celtics.

Now, he might have an even bigger opportunity in front of him with star Boston big man Kristaps Porzingis likely out for the rest of the calendar year and frontcourt teammates Luke Kornet and Xavier Tillman Sr. still on the mend from their own surgeries. This could well put Queta in a position to be Boston’s healthiest center at the start of the 2024-25 regular season.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, took a moment on a recent episode of their show to explore what Queta’s role with Boston might be like in the season to come. Check it out below!
