Columbus Regional Airport Authority reports highest summer travel numbers ever
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Regional Airport Authority reported record-breaking numbers for summer travel at John Glenn Columbus International Airport and Rickenbacker International Airport.
Between the two, CRAA saw 2.58 million passengers with June and July being the busiest months in CRAA’s history.
“Our summer numbers are a testament to the trust our passengers place in us and the hard work of our dedicated team,” said CRAA President & CEO Joseph Nardone in a release. “We’re committed to providing seamless travel while preparing to break ground on our new terminal at John Glenn International to meet growing demand and enhance the customer journey.”
August also became the busiest August ever. The 2024 season surpassed last year’s season by 8%.
CMH and LCK had an average 134 departures a day. CRAA said records have been broken in seven of the first eight months of 2024.
