Gulf Coast Sports and Entertainment Network now available

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) –

WTOK-TV is part of a groundbreaking rights deal to distribute Pelicans Basketball games, FREE, using over-the-air-television, to over 4-million homes across multiple states, including Mississippi.

All you need to do is rescan your television.

WTOK-TV is now part of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network

You can watch the Pelicans and all kinds of sports programming in HD on 15.5, or in SD on 11.5.

“We are thrilled to offer over 75 Pelican LIVE basketball games to our viewers in eastern Mississippi and western Alabama,” says WTOK-TV Vice President and General Manager, Jacque Harms.

“We know people want FREE programming, especially live sports programs. The Pelicans will now be accessible to as many fans as possible from Mississippi to Louisiana and Alabama,” says Harms.

Harms says, “”We saw how much fans wanted this last season when the ten Pelicans games we broadcast had the highest ratings ever for the team.”

The first New Orleans Pelicans game will air live on the Gulf Coast Sports and Entertainment network on Wednesday, October 23rd, at 7 p.m. when the Pelicans take on the Chicago Bulls.

The map denotes the geographic reach of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network.

This new 13-station network that will provide unparalleled access to sports and entertainment for 9.7 million viewers across the Gulf South region. The network’s marque programming is the New Orleans Pelicans games.

Viewers can look forward to seeing broadcasts in markets including:

· Louisiana Gray Media markets:

o Alexandria – KLGC Channel 25.2

o Baton Rouge – WAFB Channel 9.3

o Lake Charles – KGCH Channel 32.1

o New Orleans – WVUE Channel 7.1

In addition to over-the-air availability, The Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network will soon be accessible on multiple cable, satellite, and other services, providing even more ways for fans to connect with their favorite teams and entertainment content.
