Exynos 2500 May Not Be A Part Of Any Galaxy S25 Model, Samsung Might Delay Chipset’s Launch Next Year For Its ‘Price To Performance’ FE Variant

Samsung’s dual-chipset launch approach for the Galaxy S25 series where it announces three new flagships sporting the Exynos 2500 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 may not come to fruition, as the company’s 3nm GAA yields are too unstable and low, forcing the SoC’s delay. However, the Korean giant might find a use for its in-house silicon, with one tipster claiming that the Exynos 2500 could power the less expensive Galaxy S25 FE, which may be announced earlier than expected.

Samsung is rumored to launch the Galaxy S25 FE in April next year, with the Exynos 2500 possibly being used in the company’s foldable handsets

After a long hiatus, @Revegnus is back with a new username on X and goes by Jukanlosreve now. His latest post reveals that Samsung has failed to integrate the Exynos 2500 with the Galaxy S25 series, suggesting that the three upcoming premium smartphones will exclusively ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which may result in the company being forced to charge a 30 percent higher sum.

Fortunately, the tipster previously claimed Samsung’s base model would be incorporated with the Dimensity 9400, allowing the firm to lower its chipset expenditure for the year. As for the Exynos 2500, Samsung may find a use for this chipset, as it plans to announce the ‘price to performance’ Galaxy S25 FE model in April. Additionally, the same SoC could find its way in next year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.

As you might have noticed, Samsung increased the price of its foldable devices this year, and things will only get worse if this dual-chipset launch strategy is not followed to the letter. Jukanlosreve did not reveal which one of his sources provided him with this information, but there were earlier occasions in which his followers had the link to the original source.

Unfortunately, the tipster has not mentioned any details here, so someone behind the scenes is likely relaying what Samsung intends to do in the coming months. Regardless, we continue to recommend readers to treat all of this information with a pinch of salt, but it is also prudent practice to be aware of the company’s ongoing problems with its 3nm GAA technology, which will ultimately decide if the Exynos 2500 launches early or gets delayed.
