Imagine Entertainment and Jax Media Hires Yolanda T. Cochran as Head of Production (EXCLUSIVE)
Jax Media, an Imagine Entertainment company, has hired veteran production executive Yolanda T. Cochran as the new head of production.
In her new role, Cochran will oversee the sales, strategy, and execution of Jax Media’s production services and also offer production support and consultation to Imagine Entertainment’s scripted divisions, advising on film and television productions across various formats and genres. Cochran succeeds longtime production head Jake Fuller, who is stepping down to focus on independent production in golf and sports content.

Cochran joins Imagine and Jax with more than 25 years of experience in film and television, including roles as senior VP of production for Viacom CBS Kids & Family, VP of production at Freeform, and executive VP of physical production at Alcon Entertainment. Her credits include “Gray Matter,” a Project Greenlight film for Max; “Point Break”; “Dolphin Tale” and its sequel; “Transcendence”; “Beautiful Creatures”; “The Book of Eli”; “The Blind Side”; and “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” and its sequel. Cochran oversaw projects including “The Bold Type,”” Siren,” “Motherland: Fort Salem,” the “iCarly” reboot and the resurgence of “Nick News,” plus launched new series including Netflix’s “That Girl Lay Lay,” “NFL Slimetime” and “Good Trouble.” Cochran is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Television Academy and serves on the board of directors for the Producers Guild of America.
News of Cochran’s hiring comes as Jax Media celebrates its 14th Primetime Emmy win, this trophy for “David Letterman’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.” The company also produced season 4 of the hit Netflix series “Emily in Paris,” along with new seasons of “Animal Control,” “The Conners” and “Everyone Else Burns,” as well as Riz Ahmed’s upcoming series for Amazon. The company has active productions for Netflix, Amazon, ABC, FOX, and Paramount across the U.S., Canada and the U.K.
