Madison Street Festival: Entertainment stage will host several rockin’ performers – news

The Madison Street Festival will be held this Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Madison. For more information, check out www.madisonstreetfestival.org.

Opening Ceremonies ……9:45 a.m.

Clayton Albrecht ………..10:30 a.m.

JED Eye ………………………. 12 p.m.

Luna Koi…………………… 1:30 p.m.

Zoe Imperium ………………… 3 p.m.

MADISON – This year’s Madison Street Festival (MSF) will include a performance stage that will showcase some of the top local music entertainers. It will be situated along Church Street in the United Methodist Church parking lot.

“We are proud to showcase some of the best talent in the Tennessee Valley. Singers, dancers, musicians, and other performers – we’ve got it all, right here in downtown Madison,” said MSF President Crystal Mc-Brayer. “Be prepared to put your hands together, stomp your feet, or just sit back and hum along to your favorite songs. We’ve got something for the whole family.”

After the opening ceremonies at 9:45 p.m., local songwriter- singer Clayton Albrecht will open the entertainment portion of the festival at 10:30 a.m.

Here is a look at the other acts scheduled this year:

JED Eye

JED Eye is made up of five talented musicians who came together to share their music. They have played many festivals and venues and have kept the audiences on their feet. Their music consists of everything from Collective Soul to Pearl Jam to the Stones and ZZ Top.

JED Eye’s lead singer Scott O’Hanian leads the band with his powerful and amazing vocals. The rhythm section keeps the heartbeat of the band going with Johnny Heflin on drums. Lisa Williams brings her vocals and electric guitar playing to add to the rhythm pumping, full steam a head rock band. And finally, JED Eye’s lead guitar player… Brett Ellis, who wails on lead guitar with his own style of off the charts riffs brings his high level of energy to the stage every time. JED Eye will perform from 12 noon to 1 p.m.

Luna Koi

In its description for their genre, Luna Koi is “known for haunting male/female harmonies, resting on a bed of 1990’s alternative influence mixed with modern Americana.” Founding members in this Huntsville-based band are Kelly Joyner, Kevin Lay and Chris McDonald.

Joyner’s cello instructor Kevin Lay introduced her to local guitarist Chris McDonald, and the three formed Luna Koi in 2022.

Followers have praised Luna Koi’s sound as “ethereal, sublime and transcendent.”

Luna Koi will perform from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Zoe Imperium

Rounding up this year’s music performers will be “Zoe Imperium”. This group is a hard hitting alternative rock band mixed with elements of hip-hop.

Comprised of four siblings who moved from Oregon to Tennessee to find success with their music, they are aiming to bring awareness to teen suicide and depression through music that speaks life. Their latest track “GO” is a rap/rock anthem about pushing limits and overcoming obstacles. Think Beastie Boys meets Linkin Park for the Super Bowl halftime show!

Zoe Imperium will perform from 3 to 4 p.m.
