The Idaho Travel Council (ITC) announced that $401,122.46 in tourism marketing funding was awarded to North Central Idaho organizations through the Idaho Regional Travel and Convention Grant Program. The grants were allocated as follows:
- Visit Lewis Clark Valley received $165,000.
- North Central Idaho Travel Association (NCITA) was awarded $71,122.46.
- Moscow Chamber of Commerce received $165,000.
The funding will be used for promoting the region as a travel destination through print and digital advertising, videography, brochures, public relations, and other marketing efforts.
Statewide, the ITC granted a total of $9,863,635.00 for the fiscal year 2024 to various organizations across seven regions. These funds are provided through a 2% tax collected from the state’s hotel, motel, vacation rental, and private campground owners. Forty-five percent of the funds are distributed back to communities through the grant program awarded by the ITC Council annually in July.
