Sen. Johnson tours business run by students

ELEVA, Wis. (WEAU) – Senator Ron Johnson stopped by the Village of Eleva today to tour an innovative business.

He stopped by Cardinal Manufacturing, a business run by the Eleva-Strum High School staff and students.

Cardinal Manufacturing is a two-year class that gives students real-world experience working and problem-solving for a business.

Johnson said it helps teach students about what they want for their future.

“Not everybody has to go to college. One of the things they teach here is all the options… You don’t need a four-year degree. You can go to a technical college. You can go right into the workforce. You can learn business and start your own… So they really go through all those options,” Johnson said.

Johnson also spoke on the upcoming election this year. He said with the Senate out of session, he is planning on being active to help his fellow Republicans before November.
