Kontoor Brands-owned Wrangler is launching a collaboration with Pacsun, according to emails sent to Fashion Dive.

The 23-piece collection includes graphic tees, hoodies and vintage-inspired denim jackets, per Wrangler.

Prices range from $34.99 to $114.99, with sizes ranging from XS to XXL. It’s available beginning Thursday on both brands’ e-commerce platforms and in select Pacsun retail stores.

John Meagher, vice president of global brand marketing for Wrangler, said the collaboration adds Wrangler iconography to “Gen Z staples” such as hoodies and T-shirts, and brings a “West Coast twist” to Wrangler’s western aesthetic.

“It’s the perfect embodiment of Wrangler’s commitment to always honoring our roots while opening western style up to a new generation of consumers,” Meagher said in an emailed statement.

Collaborations have been a key part of both brands’ strategies.

Wrangler has launched several high-profile brand collaborations in the past few years, including a 2023 collection with Mattel’s Barbie, which led its holding company to a revenue boost during the brand’s third quarter last year. It partnered with Mattel again this year for a Hot Wheels collection.

Wrangler has also released several collections with contemporary fashion brand Staud, including a recent nine-piece drop for fall.

Meagher pointed to these collaborations as well as marketing deals with country singers Lainey Wilson and Cody Johnson as ways Wrangler is boosting its influence in culture.

Meanwhile, Pacsun has collaborated with several individual fashion designers, including Willy Chavarria and Reese Cooper. Also recently, Pacsun broadened its product offering by stepping into the men’s activewear category.

In addition, Pacsun released a collaboration with The Wild Collective this week, according to a separate press release. The collection of women’s apparel features MLB teams, including the New York Yankees, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres. A Wild Collective spokesperson said in an email to Fashion Dive that the capsule was meant to reach a growing number of female Millennial and Gen Z sports fans who “are seeking trendy, fashion-forward sports apparel that transcends beyond the stadium.”

Pieces in that collection retail from $30-70 and are available on Pacsun’s website as well as in physical Pacsun stores in each team’s city.
