Savannah Bananas open 2025 world tour with stops in Mesa, Glendale

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Savannah Bananas went major in 2024, taking their show to MLB stadiums from coast to coast.

Now the Bananas are taking their baseball hijinks to the gridiron in 2025 and kicking off their world tour in the Valley of the Sun!

The team will be opening its 2025 world tour as the Bananas face off (or dance off) against the Party Animals at Sloan Park in Mesa on Feb. 1-2 and at Camelback Ranch in Glendale on Feb. 6-8.

The Bananas also round out their tour with stops in Florida, Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, California, Ohio, Washington, D.C., Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Washington, Maryland, Colorado, Illinois, New York and Texas.

Team owner Jesse Cole said his barnstorming squad, which has packed stadiums around the country with its rollicking, freewheeling version of the national pastime known as Banana Ball, will play at Clemson’s 81,000-seat Memorial Stadium on April 26.

The Bananas will also host a pair of games at NFL facilities, Cole said. They will play at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, the 69,000-seat home of the Tennessee Titans, followed by 75,000-seat Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, home of the Carolina Panthers.

The exhibition entertainment team was formed in 2016 and plays to its own “Banana Ball” rules. The team has become a touring sensation with a style of the game that includes choreographed dance routines.

In addition, the team will play at Major League Baseball stadiums, including Yankee Stadium in New York, Camden Yards in Baltimore and Truist Park in Atlanta.

Fans can sign up to register for tickets until Nov. 1. And be warned, slots do fill up fast!

A random drawing will then take place about two months before the tour to choose which fans get a shot at tickets. If selected, fans have a chance to purchase up to four tickets.
