N.J. student, 13, made online threat targeting school sports events, cops say
Authorities have charged a 13-year-old student in Gloucester County with making a threatening social media post that led to sporting events being postponed over the weekend.
Paulsboro Public School officials announced Friday that they learned of a threatening social media post related to Paulsboro Junior/Senior High School sports events planned for the weekend and those events, including Friday after-school activities and a football game against Schalick High School on Saturday, were postponed as a precautionary measure.
Over the weekend, the district reported that a Paulsboro Junior/Senior High School student was arrested in connection with the threatening post.
