iOS 18.1 beta 6 adds four new toggles for Control Center – 9to5Mac

When iOS 18.1 arrives later this month, it’s set to offer expanded options for customizing Control Center. We’ve seen new controls added in previous betas, and today’s beta 6 continues that trend by offering four new toggles in total.

AirDrop and Satellite complete the connectivity lineup

Two weeks ago, Apple released iOS 18.1 beta 5 and brought with it new Control Center upgrades.

In addition to a fresh option to reset Control Center to the factory default, Apple also added new standalone connectivity toggles.

At the time, the only connectivity controls that couldn’t yet be added were AirDrop and Satellite.

But today’s beta 6 fixes that. Now, every type of connectivity control is available as a standalone toggle.

Here’s the full list of standalone connectivity options for Control Center in iOS 18.1:

  • AirDrop
  • Airplane Mode
  • Bluetooth
  • Cellular Data
  • Personal Hotspot
  • Satellite
  • VPN
  • Wi-Fi

These join the existing larger connectivity toggle featuring three large controls, and a fourth button that opens a secondary control panel.

Measure controls added to beta 6

The other two new toggles in today’s beta involve the Measure app.

There’s a control called Measure and one called Level.

Each control offers a shortcut to open the Measure app and use the named tool.

Since Control Center toggles can also be linked to the iPhone’s Lock Screen now, or its Action Button, it’s great to see Apple continue to add new controls. These expanded options provide more flexibility for not only building your own custom Control Center, but setting other iPhone controls too.

Which connectivity controls do you use most? Will you use the new Measure tools? Let us know in the comments.
