SAN ANTONIO – Finding the perfect Fiesta attire is essential for joining in the festivities with style.
For those seeking distinctive garments that reflect the spirit of the occasion, Divide and Conquer Denim and Leather Store offers a captivating array of Guayaberas, blending tradition with contemporary flair.
Nestled in the heart of downtown San Antonio, just off Broadway and East Houston Street, Divide and Conquer Denim and Leather Store stands out as a beacon of Fiesta fashion. The store’s owner and designer, Javier Trevino, shared insights into the inspiration behind these exquisite shirts, rooted deeply in his family’s heritage.
“I grew up seeing them – wearing these shirts for work, for celebrations – for funerals,” said Trevino. “I grew up seeing them all my life in multiple different colors. I just took it a step further with designing them with brighter colors and more embroidery, bringing out more confidence in people.”
Trevino’s passion for Guayaberas shines through in his designs, which infuse vibrant hues and intricate embroidery, adding a modern twist to the traditional garment. Each shirt is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, reflecting Trevino’s dedication to preserving and reinventing this cultural icon.
What sets Divide and Conquer Denim and Leather Store apart is its commitment to craftsmanship. Trevino proudly revealed that his shop is one of only two in Texas that handcrafts Guayaberas from scratch. This dedication to authenticity ensures that each garment is imbued with a sense of heritage and artistry, making it a cherished addition to any wardrobe.
