Watertown and Lenards win State AA Golf in thrilling fashion

WATERTOWN, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -It was a great day for the Watertown Golf team Tuesday at Cattail Crossing Golf Course.

The Arrows won the team title by 1 shot to got back to back after a 52 year drought and Ty Lenards, who shot 66 Monday won the individual title in a playoff with Derek Anderson of Tea Area. It was like a dual at the OK Corral between these two who traded birdies throughout the day.

Lenards actually built a 2-shot lead going into the final hole but after a double he came through with a near eagle on the first extra hole, tapping in for birdie and an emotional win. And Corey Neale was also excited about his team winning again for the seniors.
