This New Mexico State defense is really bad, and they’re going to specifically get torched by how Jacksonville State wants to play. The Gamecocks are one of the better rushing offenses in the country, ranking 22nd in both rushing yards per game and yards per attempt, along with the 26th-most run-heavy approach. They should be able to chew up a NMSU defense that allows the 2nd-most rushing yards per game and 7th-most per carry. Jacksonville State is also extremely up-tempo on offense, ranking 9th nationally in pace, so they’ll be in attack mode all game long. With 44 and 63 points in their past two games, both against similarly poor defenses, look for the Gamecocks to run it up in this one.

I feel like laying the half run with Kansas City in the first five here, but the moneyline is probably the safer play and this is a good price. I think it’s a good matchup for the Royals as well, with Seth Lugo taking the mound to continue frustrating Yankee hitters. The New York bats have never had success against Lugo, especially not the big names, like Aaron Judge for instance who’s 0-for-8 lifetime against the Royals righty. And bringing this back to KC should help wake up the Royals offense as they were far better in their home park this season. They have good cumulative numbers of a .314 average and 1.006 OPS against Yankees starter Clarke Schmidt, so if they can plate one early that might be all it takes to cash this.
