New El Monte Target will create more than 100 jobs; officials celebrate opening

El Monte officials and local leaders Tuesday, Oct. 8, celebrated a new Target store opening this weekend.

Target executives, L.A. County Supervisor Hilda Solis and El Monte elected officials took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony and tour of the 127,879 square foot store, near Peck Road and Ramona Boulevard, which will open to the public on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Target Optical, CVS Pharmacy, Starbucks and Ulta Beauty will be housed inside the new store.

According to the city, the new store will create more than 100 full-time and part-time jobs that offer a pay range of $15 to $24 per hour.
