Yes, Spirit Halloween Is Launching Christmas Stores—But There’s a Catch

Say hello to Spirit Christmas. No, that’s not autocorrect. Spirit Halloween has just announced the opening of its new franchise, with plenty of time to prepare for the holidays. We know Halloween hasn’t even passed yet, but it’s never too early to get your Christmas shopping started.

Beloved for its Halloween-themed décor, spooky costumes, and trick-or-treating necessities, the pop-up retail chain is bringing its one-stop-shop for everything holiday related to Christmas. But there’s a big catch: Unlike Spirit Halloween, which seems to in every vacant strip mall space, Spirit Christmas will be much more limited. The company is launching with just 10 locations across the Northeast, taking over strip malls in New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.

“Visit us this fall for a unique holiday shopping experience. Get your family photos with Santa while exploring aisles full of Christmas magic,” Spirit Christmas says on its webpage. Spirit Halloween’s CEO Steven Silverstein joined Cheddar to discuss the new franchise, and Cheddar shared the news to its TikTok. Steven said, “If I had a nickle for anytime someone asked me ‘Why don’t you do Christmas?’, I’d have a lot of nickels.” He continues to explain, “We’re going to bring to Christmas what we bring to Halloween: Excitement, fun, interaction…an entertaining shopping experience.”

Can’t wait any longer? Here’s a list of the Spirit Christmas locations:
