Success At Virginia Beach

The Jamestown-based Xplosion All-Stars traveled to Virginia Beach earlier this month for their national competition and were very successful. The Mini team received a paid bid to attend and earned second place; the Youth team received a paid bid and placed first and was named Youth National Champions; and the Senior team placed first and won overall Grand National Champions for the second year in a row. The team is made up of 12 athletes from throughout Western New York. Ages range from 12-18. The Senior team also won Best Tumbling Award and was Level 1 champions. They received jackets, rings, blankets and a crossbody bag for the achievement. According to their Facebook page, the Xplosion All-Stars offer competition cheerleading, cheer technique classes, tumbling and performance teams
