Las Vegas airport flyer total ticks up in March as international travel continues surge

More than 5 million people flew through Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas this past March.

That figure is up 2% compared to March last year, when there were about 4.94 million arriving and departing passengers, per figures from the Clark County Department of Aviation.

It’s also up from the 4.33 million flyers reported this past February.

International travel continues to enjoy an upswing. There were more than 314,000 international flyers, up nearly 23% from the 256,000 flyers in the year-ago month.

Among the airport’s major domestic carriers, Southwest’s flyer total jumped 14.2%, up to nearly 1.95 million passengers.

Spirit was the only one of the top five domestic airlines to see a drop, down 16.2% to a little over 627,000 flyers.
