How to Watch the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Tonight
A few more “angels” are about to get their wings. Tonight, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will return for the first time since 2018, and it is sure to be bigger and better than ever before.
Longtime fans of the show will be pleased to see that, as in the past, the 2024 iteration will include A-list models, pop star performances, and of course, those iconic VS wings. It has also been confirmed that legends like Tyra Banks and Adriana Lima are returning to the runway, which has generated even more buzz around the event. However, the Victoria’s Secret team promises viewers will be getting a revamped version of the show.
“We’ve read the comments and heard you,” the brand wrote in an Instagram post back in May. “The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is BACK and will reflect who we are today, plus everything you know and love — the glamour, runway, wings, musical entertainment, and more! Stay tuned…it only gets more iconic from here.”
The event takes place tonight, October 15, starting at 7:00 p.m. Eastern. It will be available to stream on Prime Video and social media platforms like YouTube and TikTok. Alongside Banks and Lima, other models walking the runway include Gigi Hadid, Paloma Elsesser, Ashley Graham, and more. The evening will include a lineup of all-female musical performers, including Tyla, Cher, and Lisa from Blackpink.
Ahead, see everything you need to know about the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
You can stream it on Amazon Prime or on social media.
There will be no shortage of options for watching the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. If you have Amazon Prime, you can livestream the show starting at 7:00 p.m. Eastern on Prime Video, and the pink carpet will begin at 6:30 p.m. Amazon will even offer the opportunity for viewers to shop the pieces from the runway right as they appear, through Amazon Live.
If you don’t subscribe to Prime, the show will also be available to stream on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram (for free), so there will be a bevy of options to watch from home so you don’t miss it.
The show takes place in Brooklyn.
When the first-ever VS Fashion Show took place in 1995, it was held at the Plaza hotel in New York City. Over the years, the event has found many different homes, from New York’s Lexington Avenue Armory to the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles.
Now, almost 30 years later, the spectacle is returning to its home in the Big Apple, and will be held in Brooklyn. Welcome back, angels.
There will be an all-female lineup of musical performers.
In the past, the Victoria’s Secret show has always featured an A-list roundup of musical artists—from Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga to the Weeknd and Usher. This year is no exception, as we’ve been promised an all-female lineup that unites one industry legend with two rising stars in the world of music: Cher, Tyla, and Lisa from Blackpink.
This is a special year for Cher, who was announced as the first headliner in September, and who will soon be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame—two major milestones to add to her impressive career.
Meanwhile, Lisa is performing on the heels of a series of new single releases, including “Rockstar,” “Moonlit Floor,” and “New Woman” (featuring Rosalía).
As a newcomer to the VS stage, Tyla shared her excitement in a statement, where she said, “Growing up, I was captivated by the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show—the stunning outfits, iconic wings, and charismatic models. Now, I’m thrilled to be performing on this nostalgic and legendary stage. What’s even more exciting is the celebration of diversity, showcasing a broader range of beauty, which makes this moment truly special.”
Legendary “angels” will be returning to the stage.
As if we weren’t already amped, the 2024 event will see the return of a few legendary models to the runway, including Tyra Banks, who served as a Victoria’s Secret Angel from 1997 to 2005, the year of her retirement.
In an exclusive interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Banks said, “I walked off that runway and I [had] this big retirement and it was such a spectacle. I felt like that athlete that’s like, ‘I’m hanging up my cleats … I’m retiring the basketball.’ And then, now I’m back! I never in a million years thought that I would be back on the runway, but I am so beyond excited and so ready for this.”
When Adriana Lima last walked in a VS show in 2018, she announced it would be her final time walking the brand’s catwalk. Luckily for us, she is confirmed to be returning this year as well.
Other famous models who will be appearing include Gigi Hadid, Mayowa Nicholas, Ashley Graham, Paloma Elsesser, Barbara Palvin, Devyn Garcia, Behati Prinsloo, Jasmine Tookes, Irina Shayk, He Chong, Alex Consani, Anok Yai, and more.
The iconic wings were crafted by Emmy Award–winning designer Zaldy.
For the 2024 show, Victoria’s Secret recruited Emmy Award–winning costume designer Zaldy to help design the looks, including those famous wings that have been worn by some of the most notable models of the 21st century.
In the past, Zaldy has been known for his work on high-profile concert tours, such as Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball Tour and Britney Spears’s Femme Fatale Tour. He has also worked on a number of Cirque du Soleil shows. But he is perhaps best known as the designer of RuPaul’s gowns for RuPaul’s Drag Race, which have earned Zaldy five Emmy nominations and three wins. Now, the designer will be leaving his mark on the Victoria’s Secret stage.
This will be the first live show in six years.
The last time we saw a live Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was 2018, before it was canceled the following year due to increasingly low ratings and a series of controversies that plagued the show (including a lack of diversity, as well as former CEO Leslie Wexner’s connection to accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein).
Since then, the spectacle has remained off the fashion calendar, until it made a quiet return in 2023 with the Victoria’s Secret World Tour documentary special, which highlighted looks from 20 different designers who put their own spin on VS pieces.
Now, the event is getting a full comeback with its first live show in six years, and expectations are, in no exaggeration, sky high. We can’t wait to see what’s in store.
