CAA has promoted Alexa Cook to Global Co-Head of CAA Sports Property Sales and Rob DeAngelis to the newly created position of Chief Revenue Officer of CAA Sports.

In her new post, Cook will team with Rob Slocum, who was named Global Co-Head of CAA Sports Property Sales in 2021. They will rep property clients including Formula 1, Oracle Red Bull Racing, LA Clippers, Riot Games, the Premier League and the USTA.

DeAngelis, who previously served as Global Co-Head of CAA Sports Property Sales, alongside Slocum, will now be responsible for generating revenue across all 19 divisions of CAA Sports. Those divisions include Property Sales, CAA ICON, Brand Consulting and CAA Evolution.

“We are proud of the tremendous work of the entire CAA Sports Property Sales team, who consistently deliver results for our best-in-class clients,” said Paul Danforth, CAA Managing Director and President of CAA Sports. “Alexa Cook is among the most accomplished and highly regarded sports sponsorship executives in the world. She has deep relationships spanning many industries; she is smart, strategic, respected, and admired; and we are excited for her to partner with Rob Slocum to guide the efforts of this industry leading team.”

Danforth went on to call DeAngelis “a leader and top revenue generator for CAA Sports Property Sales for more than a decade. He is a creative thinker, whose innovative approach and tenacity, has fueled his ability to bring landmark, non-endemic partners into the sports marketing landscape. Rob’s relationships are second to none, and we are excited for him to create unique revenue opportunities for clients in all areas of CAA Sports.”

CAA Sports Property Sales has booked more than $11 billion in new sponsorship business on behalf of its clients since its inception. Most recently, CAA Sports Property Sales brokered more than $1.1 billion in sponsorship transactions for the LA Clippers, including the record-setting naming rights deal for the Intuit Dome, in addition to nine founding level partnerships. Previously, CAA Sports orchestrated the naming rights agreements for the San Francisco 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium and Golden State Warriors’ Chase Center.

Cook joined CAA Sports in 2010 as an assistant before being accepted into CAA’s Agent Trainee program in 2011 and promoted to Executive in 2013. In 2020, Cook was instrumental in the creation of the Thunder Fellows Program, an initiative with the Oklahoma City Thunder designed to unlock new opportunities in the sports, technology, and entertainment industries for Black students in the Tulsa area.

DeAngelis joined CAA Sports in 2010 from Van Wagner Communications, where he served as General Manager of the Sports group. DeAngelis joined Van Wagner in 2002.
