Arkansas Gambler Hits 4K Jackpot at Saracen Casino Resort

An Arkansas gambler at Saracen Casino Resort in Pine Bluff shattered the record for any jackpot that had previously been won in the Razorback State.

Arkansas gambler hits platinum $924,562 jackpot while playing IGT’s Whitney Houston-branded slot machine

Casino officials announced Tuesday that a guest from Hot Springs won the platinum $924,562 jackpot while playing IGT’s new Whitney Houston-branded slot machine.

Matt Harkness, General Manager of Saracen Casino, said in the news release:

“Saracen was the first casino in Arkansas to install Wide Area Progressive slots, machines in which the jackpot grows alongside machines across the United States, including the Las Vegas Strip. Previous multi-state jackpots have been won at Saracen before, but this shatters all previous payouts.”

IGT Vice President of Gaming Operations Premium Product, Tony Sofran, was surprised that someone had finally hit the jackpot. Sofran expressed his excitement for the big win on the Whitney Houston slots.

“A jackpot of this magnitude, on a game as spectacular as Whitney Houston Slots, creates a uniquely memorable casino event and is a hallmark of an IGT wide-area progressive game,” he added.

Saracen Casino Resort offers over 1,800 slot machines, 40 table games, and the state’s only poker room

Saracen Casino Resort opened in October 2020 and features the state’s leading sportsbook, BetSaracen. The facility is located 40 minutes from Little Rock.

Additionally, the casino features an 80,000-square-foot gaming area with over 1,800 slot machines, 40 table games, and Arkansas’ only poker room.

Guests can also take a break from the action in one of the facility’s four on-site restaurants. Choices include the casino’s award-winning steakhouse, sports bar, and delicious buffet offering.

The Quapaw Nation, owners of Saracen Casino Resort, said its $250 million Hotel and Event Center will open next fall. This will bring the Quapaw Nation’s total investment in Arkansas to over half a billion dollars.

The latest investment adds 400,000 square feet, including a 320-room high-end hotel. A 1,600-seat event center will also be constructed next to the existing casino building.

“We love Arkansas, it is an important part of our ancestral homeland. [Our casino] is a source of great pride,” said Wena Supernaw, Chair of the Quapaw Nation’s Business Committee.
