Rick

Pires

said

they’ve

been

involved

in

Saturday

in

the

Park

since

its

inception,

and

said

it’s

a

great

opportunity

to

see

the

community

and

spread

the

word

about

their

products

and

services.

“Chobani

is

a

great

sponsor

for

the

organization.

We

do

very

well

down

there.

We’re

always

happy

to

be

there,”

he

said.

“I

believe

that

the

community

looks

forward

to

us

being

there,

and

we

have

a

lot

of

repeat

customers

from

year

to

year

and

from

week

to

week.”

The

Pires

booth

at

Saturday

in

the

Park

stocks

a

mix

of

fresh-cut

flowers,

potted

mums,

pumpkins,

gourds,

and

fresh

produce,

such

as

apples,

squash,

cauliflower,

broccoli,

and

potatoes.

The

produce

is

sourced

from

several

local

farms

and

harvested

just

before

the

weekly

markets,

to

ensure

they’re

as

fresh

as

possible.

Pires

also

takes

the

time

to

decorate

their

booth

in

a

different

way

each

week,

to

make

it

more

fun

for

customers

to

visit

and

shop.
