No cause yet for fire at Jefferson County business
TOWN OF RUTLAND, New York (WWNY) – The cause of Thursday’s fire at a Jefferson County business remains under investigation.
Firefighters from seven departments were called to Black River Tree Removal at 29807 Andrews Road in the town of Rutland on Thursday afternoon.
Rutland Fire Chief Will Kalin says the flames destroyed one large garage and damaged another. He says the garages contained equipment for the business.
Firefighters spent two hours putting out the blaze. There were no injuries.
Rutland, Felts Mills, Great Bend, West Carthage, Black River, Town of Watertown and Fort Drum fire departments responded to the scene.
