Local business still struggles to get started after major flooding
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – Over three weeks ago a flood swept through the Mid-Ohio Valley that damaged many home and businesses along the river.
Soon after that another flood followed up the initial flood that also fully submerged Philippines best in Williamstown.
After both floods Owner, Ellen Lubuguin, has still struggled to open her business to the public.
“Slowly but we’re getting it done. I just can’t do it until May 10 because it’s too much work. I wasn’t expecting the second flood,” said Lubuguin.
The initial plan for Lubuguin was to open on Friday, April 26 but now the plan is to open the Williamstown location on Friday, May 10.
