Barnabas Offers a New Twist on Holiday Shopping – Fernandina Observer

Starting Oct. 18, Barnabas has offered locally handcrafted gifts that support the Empty Bowls fundraising event. These one-of-a-kind artisan bowls and other hand-crafted items will be available only on BiddingOwl.

The Empty Bowls Marketplace will allow shoppers to bid on items or buy them outright. The online marketplace will close on Dec. 5. Purchased items will be available for pickup at Barnabas Center on December 11 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

This year’s 11th annual Barnabas Center Empty Bowls luncheon will be held on Monday, Dec. 2, from noon-1 p.m. at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. The event will raise funds to help individuals and families in our area who are experiencing hunger. For more information, visit the Barnabas events page. The event is close to being sold out, but a waiting list will be maintained.

Event proceeds help Barnabas Center achieve its ongoing mission to provide help and hope to individuals and families in need throughout Nassau County, Florida to improve their stability, health, and well-being.
