Surfside Beach permanently revokes dispensary’s business license

SURFSIDE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – Surfside Beach Town Council voted to permanently revoke the business license of a dispensary that was the center of a police search last month.

Leaders finalized the decision to revoke the license of Delta Dispensaries during Tuesday’s council meeting.

The decision comes after two people were arrested following an investigation into what police called “the sale of unregulated and untested substances represented as hemp.”

The Papottos, the owners, say they plan to open another store outside of the town limits.

The council also voted in favor of a temporary moratorium on smoke and vape shops within city limits.
