Quincy Area Chambers of Commerce to host business showcase

QUINCY (WGEM) – With the opening of new businesses like Raising Cane’s and the Carter’s at Prairie Crossing, more people are going back to work. Starting Wednesday, the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce is doing its part to help raise that rate.

A free business showcase will be hosted at the Oakley Lindsay Center, Wednesday. The event will feature multiple seminars that will focus on many different aspects, such as the use of AI in marketing strategies and even the best resume writing tactics. This is an event that will give you multiple opportunities to network.

“We’re gonna have close to 30 business booths down here and you’re gonna be able to go around and talk to all these various businesses. Your gonna have businesses as large as Target, some smaller non-profits, but this is just a great opportunity to connect with out-businesses to be able to see all the great services and products that they have to offer in our community,” said Bruce Guthrie, the president of the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce.

The event will also feature a photo area where attendees can get a discounted headshot.

Guthrie also added that there will be a multitude of stations there that will be looking for people to hire at the event.

The showcase will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
