St. Louis Blues Player Of The Game vs. Winnipeg Jets: Brandon Saad
ST. LOUIS — The good news for the St. Louis Blues is that Brandon Saad got himself on the scoresheet finally and reached a personal milestone.
The bad news is it came in a loss, a 3-2 loss against the Winnipeg Jets at Enterprise Center, a game in which the Blues (4-3-0) played well enough to win but found themselves in a couple predicaments that cost them three second-period goals.
What was good about Saad, who picked up his 500th NHL point when he scored in the first period to give the Blues a 1-0 lead, is he scored each goal in similar fashion, getting to the net and scoring off rebounds.
The Blues will need more of that moving forward from not just Saad but others throughout their lineup.

Saad played 16:30 and tied for the team high in shots on goal with four and one hit.
“‘Saader’ is a heck of a teammate,” Blues captain Brayden Schenn said. “He plays the game the right way, comes to the rink and plays a solid 200-foot game every night. That’s a lot of points and it’s well-deserved and he’s a guy that’s real easy to play with. When you get a chance to play with him, he’s north-south, he goes to the net. That’s a lot of points, so it’s a nice milestone for him.”
