The LA Fitness gym located at the Dulles Town Center shopping mall in Sterling has announced that it is closing next month.
Gym management has started alerting members that the last day in operations will be the day before Thanksgiving — Wednesday, November 27.
A sign posted at the front desk confirms the announcement and a representative told us that memberships at that location were being transferred to the Herndon LA Fitness at 494 Elden Street.
Besides the Herndon store, he also said the LA Fitness locations in Ashburn and Leesburg weren’t going anywhere and would be options for members as well.
No word on what might happen to the large space that the gym occupies at the mall. It’s entrance is from the exterior of the mall — in between Dick’s Sporting Goods and the Cheesecake Factory restaurant.
