Area teams wishing to participate in the weekly Mid-Ohio Valley prep baseball and softball statistical leaders are asked to send in full season to date cumulative stats by 3 p.m. each Monday to jbennett@newsandsentinel.com and jholland@newsandsentinel.com.

MHS Athletic Hall of Fame Nominations
Anyone interested in submitting a nomination for the 2024 induction class of the Marietta High School Athletic Hall of Fame should do so no later than May 15.

37th annual Ohio River Basketball Camp
The 37th annual Ohio River basketball day camp for boys and girls entering grades 3-8 will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on June 3-6 at Ravenswood High School’s old gym.
All aspects of the game will be covered at the camp by director Mick Price.
Cost is $70 and all campers will receive a T-shirt.

Greenhills Golf Course Scramble
There will be a four-man scramble at Greenhills Golf Course on May 11 featuring a 9:30 a.m. registration and 10 a.m. shotgun start.
Cost is $60 for non-members, $50 for members without cart and $40 for members with cart.
There will be a team skins for $20 and mulligans (max of two) are $5 each.
Payouts bases on 27 teams will be $1,000 for first with $800, $600, $400 and $200 to second through fifth.

Victory Awards Dinner Tickets
Tickets for this year’s annual Victory Awards Dinner, which will be held May 5 at River City in Wheeling, are on sale.
Cost is $35 per ticket and can be obtained by contacting anyone on the sports staff.
Locally, Robert Dutton Award winner Gage Wright of Parkersburg South, House Award honoree Maxwell Molessa of Williamstown and Furfari Award winner Kim Caldwell, who was just hired as the head women’s basketball coach at Tennessee, will be honored.
