Fly Fitness Charts Course for National Expansion by 2026

The multi-modality boutique fitness studio is on the hunt for franchisees in the Denver, Kansas City, and Minneapolis markets

Fly Fitness Studios is soaring to new heights as it gears up for national expansion by 2026. The Nebraska-based boutique fitness brand is actively seeking entrepreneurs for the Denver, Kansas City, and Minneapolis markets.

Members of Fly Fitness have several class options to choose from across cycling, strength and HIIT, yoga and barre, and Pilates reformer classes. VIP sessions for corporate retreats and other events are also available, along with private training.

Instead of a copy-and-paste franchise model, Fly Fitness chief operating officer Morgan Mattison says each Fly Fitness Studio will reflect the personality and needs of its local community.

“Each Fly Studio is more of a fingerprint than a blueprint,” Mattison explains. “We equip franchise owners with everything they need to succeed, but the real magic happens when the studio reflects its local community and members.”

The concept began in 2015 and was launched by fitness instructor and motivational psychologist Dr. Jenni Bruning Brown, who was eager to create an inclusive and science-based group exercise experience for fitness enthusiasts of all levels.

“The idea was to merge great training and a vibrant community, making everyone feel valued and uplifted in a way I hadn’t seen from other boutique fitness concepts,” Dr. Bruning Brown says. “I wanted to bring those pieces together: the idea that the classes could be great, the training could be great and the community could feel wonderful for anyone walking in, whether they were inexperienced or an Ironman athlete.”

Earlier this year, Fly Fitness member Staci Lawson opened the fitness brand’s first franchise in Loveland, Colorado. A second franchise is in downtown Omaha, where Mattison is a co-owner. Fly Fitness also operates two corporate-owned fitness studios in Lincoln and two independently-owned studios in Fargo, North Dakota.

“I’m excited to offer members something that isn’t like anything else,” Lawson said. “The combination of community impact and a proven, people-centric business model made it an incredible investment opportunity I simply couldn’t pass up.”

Prospective Fly Fitness franchisees can expect startup costs ranging from $450,000 to $800,000.

“We’ve seen a lot of interest, as people are increasingly looking for purpose-driven work,” Mattison said. “Fly Fitness offers them the opportunity to build a business that has real community impact. We’re excited to connect with entrepreneurs in Denver, Kansas City, and Minneapolis who share our vision.”
