Nolan Allan Finds First Career NHL Point
The Chicago Blackhawks have one of the top prospect farms in the NHL. One of the players that people are excited about is Nolan Allan.
Chicago selected Allan in the first round (32nd overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft. So far, the young defenseman has been developing well with every passing year.
The Hawks were against the Nashville Predators in an inter-division hockey match on Friday night. This was Allan’s fifth career NHL game, one he’ll never forget.
Early in the first period, the Blackhawks went up 1-0 on a goal scored by Craig Smith. He tapped in a beautiful pass from Lukas Reichel. Allan was awarded the secondary assist on the play.
This assist is the first point in the NHL career of Nolan Allan. He hasn’t been touted as this outstanding offensive defenseman as he is more of a stay-at-home guy but every player will remember their first point.
After a couple of tough games in a row, the Hawks needed a big start. Allan was a big part of them getting off on the right foot with the lead. Now that his first point is out of the way, he’d love that goal but he can skate much lighter knowing he is on the board.
Allan’s defensive game is good enough to be excited about as they continue to build their core. So far, he looks poised to contribute to this team at a high level.
