How to watch World Series Game 2

LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers will try for a second straight win over the Yankees in Game 2 of the World Series on Saturday night at Dodger Stadium.

Freddie Freeman played hero in the opener, winning Game 1 with a walk-off grand slam in the 10th inning. The Dodgers haven’t led a series two games to none since the 2020 NLDS.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto is on the mound for the Dodgers, making his fourth start this postseason. After allowing five runs in three innings in Game 1 of the NLDS against San Diego, Yamamoto has allowed two runs in 9⅓ innings over his last two starts, with 10 strikeouts.

With left-hander Carlos Rodón starting on the mound for the Yankees, the Dodgers will have Miguel Rojas — added back to the roster on Friday after missing the NLCS to rest his torn adductor muscle — at shortstop, manager Dave Roberts said as well.

Kiké Hernández will be also in the lineup, presumably at second base in place of the lefty-batting Gavin Lux, with Tommy Edman kicking back out to center field. Though a lot of the focus will be on the heart of the lineups for both teams. Rodón on Friday was asked about facing Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freeman, et al.

“I know they have good hitters, but we’re here for a reason, I’m here for a reason,” Rodón said. “Yeah, I’m here, I’m a big leaguer too. I’m supposed to get those guys out. That’s what I’m paid for.”

Before Game 2, Andre Ethier and Matt Kemp will throw ceremonial first pitches at Dodger Stadium, and Ice Cube will perform on the field as well.
