Ravens Make Several Roster Moves at Cornerback; Nate Wiggins Doesn’t Travel With Team

The Ravens have shuffled their roster at cornerback heading into Sunday’s game in Cleveland.

Cornerback Nate Wiggins (shoulder/illness) did not travel with the team Saturday. He is still questionable to play, however, meaning he could find different transportation.

The first-round rookie would be in line to start in place of Marlon Humphrey, who is doubtful to play with a knee injury.

The Ravens do have help on the way, as Jalyn Armour-Davis has been activated from injured reserve/designated for return to the 53-man roster. Armour-Davis missed the past four games with a hamstring injury but returned to full practice participation this week.

The third-year veteran has played in 15 games and made three starts over his career. He’s played 15 defensive snaps in the Ravens’ first two games.

To make room for Armour-Davis, the Ravens moved rookie fourth-round cornerback T.J. Tampa (ankle) to injured reserve, meaning he will miss at least the next four games. Tampa had already been ruled out for this week. A core muscle injury already hampered the start of Tampa’s rookie year.

Baltimore also elevated undrafted rookie Bump Cooper Jr. from the practice squad for Sunday’s game. It will be the Oregon State product’s NFL debut.

The Browns got good news Saturday as they activated three-time Pro Bowl guard Wyatt Teller from injured reserve. It will be his first game back from a knee injury.
