Ja’Marr Chase helping Joe Burrow with his fashion while expanding his own fashion game
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has showcased some iconic gameday outfits throughout his career. But now we’re learning that Ja’Marr Chase has something to do with the outfits Burrow wears.
“He’s still breaking barriers, trying to be himself and show off more of his personality and stuff,” Chase told Us Weekly. “I try to help him with that, try to get him to open up more. You know, he’s always been the quiet guy. He knows when to talk, but I just want him to talk more often.”
Still, breaking barriers? What does that mean?! What fashionable outfit haven’t we seen from Burrow?
“I’m starting to get him into more fashion stuff lately,” said Chase, who spoke exclusively to Us via his “Always Open” collaboration with 7-Eleven. “Last year was the first year where I started to buy stuff for him and he would consider to wear it. We’ve started talking more about shoes and other brands. He’s starting to like it more.”
On the field, Burrow can make history on Sunday when the Bengals host the Philadelphia Eagles. With a touchdown pass, that would give him 112 touchdowns in his career. That would pass Pro Football Hall of Famer Johnny Unitas and Andrew Luck and Deshaun Watson for the fourth-most touchdown passes in their first 60 games in NFL history.
Chase also has a fashion game, a collection he has called “Always Open.” The name is a reference to Chase saying he’s always open and his 7-eleven chain he wears.
The line features streetwear-inspired tees, crewnecks, snapbacks and fitted caps, plus other accessories like insulated beverage holders, stickers and pins.
Chase’s partnership with 7-Eleven will eventually extend onto the field with 7-Eleven gloves and cleats on gameday.
The Bengals fourth-year wide receiver leads the NFL with 620 receiving yards. His six touchdowns mark the third time in his first four seasons he has six touchdowns through the Bengals first seven games (he had four touchdowns through seven games in 2023).
