Man hospitalized, 2 suspects in custody after shooting at Temple Hills shopping center
TEMPLE HILLS, Md. (7News) — Two suspects are in custody after a shooting in Temple Hills, Md. prompted nearby schools to go on lockdown as officers investigated the circumstances.
Police said the shooting happened around 9:40 a.m. Tuesday at a shopping center in the 7000 block of Allentown Road.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Police said the man was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
The incident prompted the lockdown of two Prince George’s County schools — Crossland High School and Thurgood G. Marshall Middle School — out of an abundance of caution. As of noon, the lockdown was lifted.
