Jennifer Lopez Does Business Casual the J.Lo Way

Casual isn’t the first word that comes to mind when thinking about Jennifer Lopez’s style. The multi-hyphenate tends to be a sartorial maximalist in every sense of the word, often punctuating her outfits with luxurious pieces that range from rare Hermès Birkin bags to bling-ified Swarovski crystal cups. Even so, Lopez’s latest Hollywood outing proves that even a fashion icon like herself can still pull together a business-casual look.

Photographed en route to her studio in Los Angeles earlier this week, the “Can’t Get Enough” singer wore a black long-sleeved top made out of lightweight cashmere, a hero piece from luxe lingerie brand Intimissimi. With the top being slightly sheer, Lopez embraced the see-through clothing trend by styling it with a nude triangle-shaped bralette.

She tucked the blouse into a pair of taupe wide-leg pants, then finished off the look with Femme stilettos with a transparent PVC strap, Ray-Ban aviator shades, and one of her trusty black Birkin bags.

Lately, Lopez has been busy promoting her newest film, Unstoppable, a biopic about American wrestler Anthony Robles, produced by Lopez’s ex Ben Affleck. Lopez plays Anthony’s mom, Judy.

“Judy Robles is quite an amazing person. She had a child very young, at 16 years old, and they kind of grew up together,” Lopez reflected in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. “I really got to talk to her about how she felt about being a mom, being a mom to a child that was handicapped, being a person who was really kind of lost and in bad relationships and had to kind of figure herself out while she was raising these five kids.”
