To date, 2,438 new and existing independent small business owners and entrepreneurs have received services and assistance thanks to the Department’s Small Business Project Management Program (SBPM), which provides one-on-one customer assistance and project support through the commercial real estate development and building permitting process.

To qualify for the SBPM program, customers must have 35 or fewer employees and manage their own project. The SBPM program also assists customers in determining if their business idea aligns with the authorized uses and zoning of a property location. It is important to note that national chains are not eligible for the program.

More information about the Department of Development Services and the SBPM Program can be found at pwcva.gov/SBPM(703) 792-6930 and dds@pwcgov.org.
