Rick Owens & Moncler are combining avant-garde fashion with avant-garde architecture – Culted

Rick Owens and Moncler never fail to push the boundaries of design in their link ups, producing anything from an isolation sleeping pod to a customised bus for touring art installations in the desert.

This time around, as part of Moncler’s City of Genius, Rick Owens taps into architecture – designing a demountable mountain refuge inspired by his wife Michelle Lamy’s family lodging in the alps, which was originally designed by Charlotte Perriand.

The modular shelter features a range of advanced technologies that make shelter functional, efficient and easy to transport. There’s also a coordinated clothing collection that includes duvet bodysuits with soft organic cotton long johns layered underneath, zipping into sleeping cocoons to be used in the refuge.

Accompanying the installation are the cult-favourite Rick Owens x Moncler pieces that every Opium-head looks forward to when the temperatures start to drop. From puffer jackets with the Megapenta to the ever-popular Belas track pants to even a cashmere balaclava, they’ve got everything to deck you out with this latest drop.
